As Apple gears up for the introduction of artificial intelligence capabilities in iOS 18, it has unveiled an AI-powered bot named "Ask" for AppleCare employees. This bot is engineered to automatically generate responses to technical queries from customers, according to a report from MacRumors.
The "Ask" AI tool enables AppleCare staff to efficiently relay information to customers via online chats or phone conversations. Following a feedback collection phase, Apple plans to expand the tool's availability to more advisors, indicating a strategic move to enhance customer support through AI.
This development comes as Apple is expected to significantly adopt generative AI technology this year. The upcoming iOS 18 is rumored to incorporate AI features across various applications, including Siri, Spotlight, Messages, Health, Numbers, Pages, and Keynote.
Apple CEO Tim Cook has confirmed the company's focus on generative AI, promising to share more details in the coming months. This initiative underscores Apple's commitment to integrating advanced AI technologies to improve user experiences and operational efficiency.
